What Are Polynucleotide Treatments?
Polynucleotide treatments are an increasingly popular non-invasive cosmetic procedure. The product is derived from a highly purified and sterilised DNA from fish, where a clear liquid (taken from the genetic strands of salmon) is injected into different areas of the face, including the cheeks, the neck, the mouth, and the under-eye area. It can also be used to treat thinning hair, as well.
These injections are used strategically to stimulate collagen production, regenerate, and improve the texture of the skin, while helping to tackle the first signs of ageing, such as wrinkles and fine lines, as well as addressing dark circles, puffiness, and hollowing under the eyes.
The main benefits of this treatment include boosting collagen production and elastin, rejuvenating the skin on the face and neck, improving hydration, circulation and skin quality.
Around the eyes, it can help address issues like puffiness, crow’s feet and fine lines, while on the forehead it can be used as an alternative to Botox, in order to successfully treat fine lines.
On the cheek area, it can be beneficial in smoothing out folds and lines, hydrating the skin and delivering a tightening and lifting effect. On the neck, it can help treat fine lines, while around the jawline it can help tighten the skin and add definition.
